"Sicko" Leaked Onto the Web

Fri Jun 15, 2007 at 06:13:35 AM PDT

I just received an email alert from Advertising Age reporting that Michael Moore’s unreleased documentary, "Sicko" has been pirated and leaked on the Internet in its entirety.  According to this neocon trade rag, the movie can be downloaded at bitnet and thepiratebay.org., and supposedly the reporter was able to download it and watch it "with ease."    You can view this article here:

I’m certain this has the health care industry’s fingerprints all over it and while I’m not completely incredulous that this happened, this kind of desperate criminal act suggests how damning this movie is to the industry.  Unfortunately, this is the only information I have at this point and I'm haven't found any additional news on this as yet.

Rove et al

Wed Nov 03, 2004 at 04:20:08 AM PDT

Rove and GOP mobilized their voters more effectively.  It's as simple as that.  They knew how, when and where to reach them and they never looked back.  The Democrats relied too heavily on the 527 groups.  It was clear in Senate and House races, too.  They GOP understands the fascist voter mind and how to target them.  They, clearly, realized that "moral" issues were going to be the draw for this election and how to appeal to those issues.  Sad day.  Sad election. Sad country.

It's not the candidates

It's the electorate, stupid.  The American electorate has become increasingly fascist.  Look at the issues they care about.  Add to that a media which preys on these people and let's face it, America is a scary place.  If only the Northeast and a few other states could secede, it might make it more tenable for us Democrats.

Can Somebody Muzzle Chris Matthews?

Fri Oct 29, 2004 at 06:13:11 PM PDT

This guy is a barking lunatic.  He's said that the latest OBL video helps Bush.  Why don't any of these mainstream media creeps ever ask what ever happened to Bush's "dead or alive" vow to capture OBL?  I really don't see the latest OBL peep-show as a net gain for either candidate.  However, it's got to be thoroughly embarrassing for the President, as he's had more than three years to find, capture and/or kill OBL and he's done nothing.  Why would this video connote something positive for the President as Matthews says?  A war in Afghanistan, a war in Iraq, 1100 soldiers dead, thousands of soldiers injured and maimed, 3000 lives lost on September 11, 2001 and the only people who've been captured have been Saddam Hussein and a few inconsequential Al Qaeda operatives.  Those who are truly the most dangerous are still alive, well and threatening the United States.  And Chris Matthews is still drinking the GOP kool-aid.  Link is here:

Schwarzenegger Will Go to Ohio

Tue Oct 26, 2004 at 06:47:12 PM PDT

After all the capitulating and hemming & hawing, the California fascist has definitively decided to campaign with the Fascist-in-Chief on Friday.  May his steroid-laden balls shrivel-up even further and fall off. The creep needs to be muzzled and taken out of circulation soon. Hopefully, the Kennedys will host an intervention on Frau Maria and deprogram her.

Schwarzenegger is A Motherless Bastard

Mon Oct 25, 2004 at 04:57:57 PM PDT

I usually refrain from using any obscenities or personal attacks in diaries, but when this piece of human fungus, Arnold Schwarzeneggar begins slamming Senator Teddy Kennedy, I go for the jugular. ABC reports that the steroid-laden Governor of California (who also happens to have balls the size of raisins), was insulting Senator Kennedy about his weight and Senator Kerry about his appearance several times during a campaign speech.  Where is his bag-of-bones wife on this?  She's a useless pratt and a blight on the Kennedy family name.

Vile Weekend Today Show Segment

Sat Oct 23, 2004 at 04:40:23 AM PDT

This was just plain evil. This morning, "Weekend Today" RNC Operatives, Campbell Brown and Lester Holt, did the lead-in of the show on the appropriateness of Sinclair Broadcasting's Kerry Slam that aired last night.  Then they had a 12-minute segment with Lynn Cheney, (who makes her father look like Mr. Rogers) and Stephanie Cutter "discussing" the fairness of last night's "Stolen Honor" rewrite.  It was basically a 12-minute free media op for Bush and it was vicious against Kerry.

Somehow, Holt also managed to bring in the latest Time Magazine poll which shows Kerry behind by 5 points and Bush's popularity up by 3 points. How this was relevant to the segment is beyond me. The entire segment was so odious and sinister that I have to believe there is a special place in hell for NBC.

Kerry & Hunting

Thu Oct 21, 2004 at 03:45:45 PM PDT

I'm still trying to figure this one out, so I'm sure you'll all put your spin on it.  Kerry's campaign claims that he's trying to demonstrate that he's an average guy by hunting and killing innocent geese.  You know, I grew up in rural Florida, lived in Ohio for many years, went to college western Massachusetts and now, I live in New Jersey and know very few people who are hunters.  Most of my friends are average guys with average jobs living average lifestyles and they don't hunt.  The only people I knew who hunted were senior executives at a Fortune 100 company where I worked.  This hunting crap is offensive and there are a lot of people like me (very liberal Democrats) who think this macho gun-toting display of Kerry's is idiotic.  It's turning off his base to appease swing voters who aren't going to vote for him anyway.
